Welcome to another newsletter. What's covered:
“The enemy is FEAR, we think its Hate; but it is Fear.” Gandhi
Fear is the ultimate cause of the pain, violence and darkness we have seen not just in US but around the planet. Fear is at the base of hate, separation, and prejudice.
Fear, and the feelings it generates, come from a mentality of me/us vs other/them; I am/we are better than; I/we need to protect myself/ourselves against. A mentality that has developed over centuries from a fear of not being safe and feeling unworthy; causing individuals and groups to seek for power and status in order to feel in control and ultimately feel safe, in addition to filling the void of feeling unworthy. Over centuries differences in race, gender, religion, culture, status, and boarders, has escalated the fear, increasing the need to protect and in turn increasing the violence, war, hate, anger and destruction.
“I am convinced that men hate each other because they fear each other. They fear each other because they don’t know each other, and they don’t know each other because they don’t communicate with each other, and they don’t communicate with each other because they are separated from each other” Martin Luther King Jr.
For the past four years fear, in the form of hate and violence, has come up more and more to the surface for everyone to see. We can no longer run and hide from it, we can not look the other way. This is a very important time for humanity to take a closer look not just at what is happening outside but more important what is happening inside. Fear causes the need to seek for power and control, a structure that needs to have something or someone to have power and control over. And at some point, the individual or group that feels powerless, will resort to hate and violence to gain control and power. It is a vicious cycle that can only be broken inside each and every one of us.
“The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral, begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy. Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it. Through violence you may murder the liar, but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth. Through violence you murder the hater, but you do not murder hate. In fact, violence merely increases hate…Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” Martin Luther King Jr.
At the same time we stand up and speak up for the truth, and what we know in our hearts to be right, we must also seek to eliminate the fear in our own hearts and lives. The way to bring light into this darkness is through loving and accepting ourselves, trusting in ourselves (the truth of who we are) and our own guiding system (intuition). Once we learn to fully love and accept ourselves the feeling of safety starts to develop inside, since we are no longer fearful of being seen for who we are truly. Once we learn to fully love and accept ourselves then we feel safe to love and accept others as they are. Once we learn to fully love and accept ourselves then we feel safe to love everything and everyone around us. The shift to fully loving and accepting ourselves, also allows for us to feel our own power and therefore not giving permission to anyone to hurt us, not through force or violence but through love and acceptance and speaking our truth.
“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of TRUTH and LOVE have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it — always.” Gandhi
Once we fully love and accept ourselves then the change naturally begins inside our home, in our community and transcends into society. Once we learn to fully love and accept ourselves then we realize that there is one planet, with one human race, with one basis for all religions which is love and respect for all, and therefore we remove the fear and in turn remove hate, prejudice, and separation. When we love, accept and respect ourselves as unique and precious individuals, yet connected to everyone and everything; Then we allow others to love, accept and respect themselves. And so the feeling of oneness starts to be nourished in everyone and everything.
“You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.”
“You must be the change you want to see in the world.”
“As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world — that is the myth of the atomic age — as in being able to remake ourselves.” Gandhi
So let’s remake ourselves, our homes, our communities and society. Let us bring light into darkness by replacing fear with love and breaking the barriers and boarders that separates, by teaching and practicing love, acceptance, respect for ourselves and others, as well as teaching and practicing oneness.
It has taken centuries for humanity to get to this point and I’m hopeful that it will not take centuries for us to realize that there is One Planet, One Human Race, One Love.

Welcome to the first publication of my newsletter. I figured what better time to start it on the first days of spring. What's covered:
Yes you heard me right ... the Benefits of Coronavirus!! Nothing in this universe is created without purpose or reason. We might not like, or be in agreement with the reasons, or the outcome, but it is always for the highest good. I know this does not sit well with lot of people, specially if you are already mad at the universe. But allow me to explain this situation.
So there are so many people around the world that have been trying to do something about what is happening to our planet, but the resistance has been overwhelming with many people, specially politicians. Mother nature has been trying to be nice, to show us what is happening, but the majority have not been willing to listen. So what does she do to address the situation, Virus ... A virus that will handle the separation among humans, pollution, over population, people's need for external attention, people's need for more things, people's need for more money. Stay with me and let me explain.
Benefit 1: A virus that knows no separation. Yes, what better way to show us that we are all one. A virus that is equal opportunity in every way, it does not know age, race, gender, religion ... it does not care. Giving us the opportunity to see we are all one and the same on this planet called Earth, so let us find ways to stop the fighting, separation and let us work together in coming up with solutions to help us all. Can we for a second imagine what if the needs of every human on this planet was met: food, shelter, clean water, safe living conditions, clothes, utilities, education and everyone was accepted just as they are (i.e no discrimination or mistreatment because of race, gender, sexual orientation/preference)! Do you think under such circumstances anyone would need or desire to leave their home? So there would not be a need for boarders, walls, weapons of mass destruction and armies to protect the walls. Yes, I know we are not there and this is a dream but I love to dream. This virus is showing us we are all the same and to start thinking more globally as Earth citizens and not by the place we came out of our mom's vagina's or in my case her tummy.
Benefit 2: A virus that cleans mother earth. So, we all know we are polluting with our consumption and desire for more and more and more ... So what better way to clean the earth, slow down the factories, not having as many planes in the skies, not having as many cars on the streets, not having ships and boats on the waters. LA and NY, two of the biggest cities when it comes to traffic and people, now you see pictures of both cities that look like some kind of apocalypse movie. Venice, due to self isolation, and people not coming out to dirty the waterways, is the clearest it has been in 60 years, and dolphins have been spotted down in southern Italy, swimming in clearer water. So mother earth is taking charge and forcing us to stay away and she is doing what humans have not been able to do.
Benefit 3: A virus that slows down the fast pace life styles. Human society, more so in the cities and suburbs of those cities, has become very fast pace. Work, kids, deadlines, after school activities, weekend schedules of running from place to place to either get things, or take kids from one activity to the next, and so on ... even exercise for most has become a chore a task and a place to run to, in order to escape. So now this virus has mandated a slow down of life. Slow down to be with your family without all the running around and have tos and shoulds and musts. Slow down so you have no place to run to in order to escape, you have to face your self and your mind that keeps running and running and makes you run with it. Slow down in order to be more mindful, more self aware, and to start getting in touch with yourself and those around you. Slow down and find new ways to enjoy your self and your loved ones without the constant running around and external entertainment. A virus that is doing what gurus, spiritual teachers, healers, etc have been guiding and asking everyone to do to live a happier life.
Benefit 4: A virus that forces simplification of life. Money and "things" have been a major part of human life. People work more so they make more money so they can get more things. So now this virus is shutting things down and slowing things down, impacting economy so everyone is looking for ways to simplify their lives and rethinking things that they buy, is it necessary, is it needed, can I reuse something else instead. All the items that you have been used to, amazon same day delivery, next day delivery, second day delivery no longer available. Items that you deemed as necessity no longer available. So yes it is making everyone simplify their life styles. And the less we consume again the better for the planet.
Benefit 5: A virus that is making people be more grateful for what they have and for each other. A virus that is making people to be out in nature more. A virus that is getting people to think of creative ways to help each other, entertain each other and have fun. And after the initial spread of fear that spread in social media, now people are posting more positive quotes, comedies, funny posts, and fun activities they are doing with their families. And the best thing of all, having all the nail salons, hair salons, restaurants, bars etc closed, has made people take less selfies and being attached to their phones and taking pictures of every moment of their lives to show everyone else. Instead the posts are become more about their real life.
So yes what pockets of people have been wanting the rest of humanity to do for their own benefit and the benefit of the planet, now the universe has mandated it for all. So let this time be a time of reflection, a time to enjoy and be kind and loving to yourself, a time to reflect on your relationships, a time to reflect on what you want your life to be like and to do what brings you the most pleasure, and let it be a time that you get in touch with your true self. Let us not let the anxiety and fear take over but gratitude to take over. Let's see the silver lining in this one and remind ourselves nothing is ever created with out a purpose and in that same light there is a purpose for you being created in this physical life. Love and Peace to all

Everyday news around the world makes us sad and heart broken. The news about the recent Ukrainian plane crash and lives lost, the fires in Australia and it’s damage and destruction, possibility of war and so much more.
I see posts about blaming god, universe and government leaders for such tragedies. And as much as we like to put the blame on leaders, the collective humans have put these leaders in power and to represent the “entire” collective, and aligned with the energy of the collective. For those that want to blame god/universe, again god/universe is part of an unconscious collective and each individual is making their contribution to the energy stream of the unconscious collective and the reality that we all partake.
But the question to ask yourself is why is there always a need to blame others and something outside of yourself. When you blame isn’t that another way of being a victim? Isn’t that another way of giving your power away? How about instead taking a very deep look inside, taking responsibility for your part in the collective; seeing how is your actions, behaviors, thoughts and emotions contributing to the collective behavior; and choosing what you want to change for yourself. When you see you have choice then you empower yourself and those around you. So let’s instead of pointing the finger outside of ourselves pointing it inward.
I’m not justifying the leaders actions nor do I approve of them. But I do believe all that you see in their actions (wanting power, control, “more for me attitude”) is representative of a bigger part of the collective and so the balance of the collective needs to change.
We are all part of the collective, connected to nature and each other and the creation of this world and all that is going on around us and in our world. Let the outside be a mirror for you to see yourself. You want more peace in the world then look inside and see If you have peace inside with all of you and your life. If you want a loving and kind world then look inside are you kind and loving to yourself (all of you and not just parts of you).
I did an experiment the other day. I walked in a store to fix an issue. As I walked i could feel the energy of the space as I often do and in this particular store it was full of frustration, dislike, anger etc. I looked around the people’s faces, no smiles whatsoever including the employees. Since I had to wait for a while I decided to be a beacon of love and joy and I started sending out that energy around me. In less than 10 min later I had three different employees walk up to me with a smile and talk to me and I had two people that were in store waiting as well smile back and one coming to me to complement me on my scarf. By the time I left the place an hour later the energy of the place was so much better.
We did not get to this place overnight. The very long history of revolutions, wars, destruction, etc have come because of separation; thinking that your group is better than the other group, and therefore taking control and enforcing their ways of living and being or worst taking away their livelihood. And therefore the oppressed group feeling injustice, victimized, powerless, and therefore retaliate. So the separation has caused the battle. And that separation began because of not feeling safe and wanting to seek control in order to feel safe.
This is not an overnight task, it’s not fast practice, it’s an everyday practice and the more you practice the more you see the change in your home, in your community and then In the world. In the famous words of Ghandi “Be the change you wish to see in the world” ~ the change begins with you; with you being at fully and completely being at peace with yourself, love yourself, being kind to yourself. And from that place you can be at peace with others and be kind and loving to others by allowing them to be who they are. And from that place you can stand in your truth and speak your truth. Giving others the power to do the same. And from that place our leaders and their actions will being more aligned with the collective, which will be representing peace.
Just my 2c and opinion .... Love and Peace to all
It is easy to get caught up in having a good day or bad day. We measure everything in a duality scale, especially our mood and how we feel, good vs. bad, up vs. down. There is nothing wrong with the scale; duality is an important part of our physical experience. But we can change the unit of measurement that we use, from day to moments, from hours to moments, from minutes to instances. Then once you place the moment when you found the right parking space as you pulled in the parking lot, when someone opened the door for you with a smile when your hands were full, when you went to a crowded store and managed to walk to the register at the right time to be the first in line, when your kid comes to your room with a smile and gives you a big hug, when you received the perfect job opportunity, when you needed cash and you found a $20 in your pocket, when you saw a rainbow after a big storm, when you gave someone a hug and they thanked you because they really needed it ... vs. the moment when someone cut you off on the road, when you woke up with a headache, when you spilled coffee on your shirt on your way to a meeting, when your kid comes to your room with a temperature, when the heater breaks on a cold winter day. When you fill the scale with moments then you see that in a day there are so many little moments that were magical, that fill you with joy and love, that put a smile on your face and make you feel good inside. And I am sure if your fill the scale with moments, then scale will be tipped in favor of the "good". With love and gratitude Atousa :)

I always see myself as someone that has no problem sharing my life, the good and pretty side as well as the ugly side. However based on a recent conversation I wondered if I share the ugly side on my social media. After reviewing my social media it seems that I do share only the good moments. I share sunrises, sunsets, and many pictures of nature; I share pictures of great moments with friends; and yes most of my personal feed is full of pictures of my son when he is having a great time. There are no pictures showing that I came from a divorced family at age 2 and the bitterness of the divorce was present and active until my teenage years, no pictures of countless moves, and no pictures of my emotionally abusive father, no pictures of my marriage to an abusive narcissist, no pictures of my son dealing with his many emotions and meltdowns when he comes from visits from Dad that takes us almost a week to settle down, no pictures of me in my complicated relationship with it’s many ups and downs, no pictures of me putting aside family members because I was not willing to carry the loads of crap that was put on me and stay quiet because it was family. So why not the pictures of ugly parts? Frankly because its so much harder to capture those moments, feelings and emotions, just like it is so much harder to fully capture the storm and much easier to capture the sunshine after the storm. But I do share every detail of the "ugly" parts with my friends, clients, and anyone that I believe can use my experiences as examples to see that they are not alone and that they can overcome and to know their own power. So next time if you are looking at my pretty social media feed know that there has been many cuts and bruises behind those moments and I am truly grateful and blessed for all of it both the pretty and the ugly moments. One of my favorite Rumi quotes is "The wound is the place where the Light enters you,” and it is so true. If it was not for all the cuts and bruises I would not be the powerful healer that I am today.
